Testimonials

Training and earning my RBLP-T certification was a great experience working with Instructor Charles Livings. He was professional and personable, making each session fun and realistic while still gaining the principles of RBLP. Being active military, he was flexible in scheduling and was able to help me correlate RBLP principles to various areas of the military for better understanding. I was grateful for a quick pep talk and booster before sitting for my test as I begin to worry a bit of what to expect. If students are assigned to Mr. Livings, they’re in good hands.

The experience Charles provided throughout the preparation course helped me understand and comprehend the curriculum. He was also readily available to answer questions and prepared before each session making our contact hours meaningful in its entirety. By the end of the preparation course, I was fully prepared to take the oral exam and was further reinforced by the successful certification. What made it easier in the exam was the conversations Charles provide with stories, context, comparisons, perspectives and examples in each module. Thank you very much again Charles for the amazing perspective sessions and coaching along the way!

There are moments in your life when you realize you can’t do this alone. If you’re lucky, there are people who come along at the right time to assist, mentor, teach, and coach you through it. Charlie Livings was, has been, is, and will continue to be one of those people in my life. When I first met Charlie, I had no clue what I wanted to do after I transitioned out of the Army after a short 25 year career. I was not in a good place, I was lost. Charlie took me under his wing and began to invest in me. He taught me how to translate what we did in the Military to “Civilianeese”. He taught me how to recognize hiring trends in business, by industry, or company, and how to see what value a Veteran brought to the needs of a company. He showed me that there was life on the other side. Not only life but life abundant. Charlie allowed me to volunteer while I healed from knee surgery and then encouraged me to participate in an internship as an independent CSP through the Army. After 3 months of the internship Charlie presented me with a job offer.

In working with Charlie, I have learned that we Veterans can find leadership after the Military. Not only leadership but incredible leadership. I don’t know where I’d be today without Charlie and the rest of the team, but I know I wouldn’t be as happy.

Charlie Livings is my mentor and my friend. Thank you for everything old man!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Charles Livings for over four years now and what a blessing it has been on my life. I first met Charles in the Still Serving Veterans office when I came in and wanted to start planning my military transition. I had no idea at the time that he had never been military before, but, because he was so dedicated to our community, he took the time to learn how to communicate with servicemembers so he could help us communicate our value to the civilian world. I have seen him dedicate countless hours to conducting mock interviews, working on elevator pitches, going over resumes, talking about networking, etc..

On one occasion, I showed up for a class on writing a targeted resume. I didn’t know that it was for a specific position he was trying to help fill, but instead of turning me away, he and Neisha sat down and went over everything with me and linked me up with new resources that day. He truly made me feel that I was worthy of being invested in.

My favorite story of Charles and the kind of guy he is, is when I stopped by the office to visit and my car wouldn’t start when I was getting ready to leave. What does Charles do in 100 degree Georgia heat? He rolls up his sleeves, digs his mechanics tool set from the back of his car, and helps me troubleshoot the issue.

Charles is the type of guy that is going to go the extra 50+ miles on you. He has been a huge part of my life and part of my successful transition from the Military. He has been a coach, a mentor, but most importantly a friend. My only hope is that one day, I can be the type of person that Charles is giving back to the military community.
